Custom Ink, the leader in custom apparel for groups and communities, is all about bringing people together. That's what inspires our innovative online platform, world-class customer support, and award-winning work environment. With 1,600+ team members (“Inkers”), we are passionate about the success and well-being of our team and have earned frequent recognition as a top workplace from such organizations as Fortune Magazine and The Washington Post. Our customers are counting on us to come through for them, and that’s important to all Inkers - no matter what role they’re in.

How you’ll make a difference:
As a Sales Recruiter, your purpose in this role will be to champion the character and growth of Custom Ink. You’ll do this by upholding our high standards for talent and the section process we use to identify new Inkers. As a sharp, resourceful, and driven Recruiter you’ll play a vital role in sourcing, selecting, and hiring a variety of sales positions (team member through leadership) across the organization. To find the best “Inkers” you must know what it means to be one yourself.

You’ll create cutting-edge sourcing channels and draw from experience and ongoing research to recruit for everything from customer-centric in-bound sales team members to gregarious and mobile territory sales people. You’ll also own pipelines and talent pools for in-demand sales leadership positions internally and externally. Your work will span Custom Ink’s national footprint.

As a member of our Recruiting Team, you’ll be a team player throughout, juggling priorities and jumping in where needed. You’ll be highly organized as you plan ahead, orchestrate effective interviews, and maintain and improve established processes, data, and workflows. You’ll also be highly flexible and adaptable - able to re-prioritize on a dime.

What you’ll do:
You’ll champion a smooth process, facilitate robust candidate pipelines, and provide meaningful and actionable guidance to hiring managers throughout the organization. Your partnership and ownership will ensure we continue to be a top-notch recruiting practice.

You’ll be expected to master existing hiring processes and embrace our philosophy for selecting the best possible future Inkers. You’ll also contribute to ensuring our process remains scalable, efficient, and results-oriented. On an ongoing basis, you’ll maintain job descriptions, track external and internal staffing needs, facilitate hiring schedules, post open positions, screen and manage applications, schedule and participate in interviews, and more, as part of our agile and flexible team. The right person for this role will be able to communicate effectively, deal with ambiguity and change effortlessly, and demonstrate superior motivation to achieve our recruiting goals.

 The day-to-day includes:

  • Maintaining timely and meaningful communication with candidates and hiring teams
  • Determining sourcing strategy including job postings, database search, and networking
  • Sourcing, screening, and interviewing applicants while maintaining Applicant Tracking System (ATS) information
  • Presenting candidates, receiving feedback, and pivoting as necessary
  • Providing guidance related to market changes, candidate pipeline, and interview best practices
  • Planning, prioritizing, scheduling, facilitating decisions, and ensuring a smooth process from posting to onboarding

This role also means being entrusted with sensitive compensation and personnel information and accurately tracking, reporting, and speaking to figures related to team size, referrals, success rates, turnover, and attrition.

How you’ll be measured:
We love data and metrics so, where possible, we’ll use these to track and measure performance. These measures should be considered iterative as our team evolves and changes to match the growth of our company. Overall, the key measures of success for this position will be:

  • Robust, well-qualified sales candidate pipelines
  • Time to fill, conversion rates, manager (via survey) and candidate feedback
  • Efficiency and reliability of the hiring process
  • Effective communication and collaboration
  • Achieving optimal referral, turnover, and attrition rates
  • Optimizing hiring-related expenses
  • Delivering a world-class experience to both candidates and hiring teams
  • Sales performance of those teams supported

What we’re looking for:
This role involves collaborating effectively with many areas of the business, so this is a great opportunity for a perceptive individual to gain exposure to the inner-workings of our organization and contribute to big picture success. The ideal candidate will be an idea-generator and thought partner, who demonstrates a love for process and innovation while maintaining a relentless focus on finding the next great sales talent.

Accordingly, the ideal candidate will be strong in the following areas:

  • 5+ years recruiting experience preferred
  • Positive, customer-focused, and results-driven attitude
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Superior relationship building skills
  • Stellar written and oral communication
  • Proven comfort in a fast-paced and high-performance environment
  • Ability to identify innovative sourcing solutions based on research and observation while remaining comfortable in unchartered territory
  • Insatiable curiosity, drive for excellence, and ability to work independently and with a team
  • The highest level of integrity and confidentiality

In addition, you must embody our company values--practicing the Golden Rule, taking Ownership, and driving and embracing Innovation.

Cover letters are strongly preferred and Custom Ink values individuality, so use your judgment and write to us in your own voice.
